Last week we introduced part of wet building technology of CCEWOOL lightweight insulation bricks. This week we will continue to introduce other wet building technology of CCEWOOL lightweight insulation bricks.
5. Masonry of lightweight insulation bricks
(1) The masonry sequence and the masonry height of lightweight insulation bricks is determined according to the masonry structure.
(2) Lightweight insulation brick or lightweight refractory brick should be laid in staggered way..
(3) Light weight insulation brick masonry should be leveled out with thick mud. When there is embedded parts or special brick barriers. It is appropriate to use the processed brick to level out.
(4) When building with lightweight insulation bricks, it is advisable to use plaster method in the horizontal seam. For vertical seam it is better to use brick knife.
(5) In lightweight insulation brick masonry should not set expansion joint. But when the movable end of facilities and other components faces directly to refractory insulation fire brick, and expansion value is big, we should replace lightweight insulation fire brick with refractory fiber or other elastic insulating materials, within the scope of the expansion value.
(6) When the expansion joints, in particular straight through expansion joint, faces directly to insulation masonry. The lightweight insulation brick of this place must be replaced by firebrick. Ordinarily lay one layer of standard refractory fire brick in vertical or horizontal way. It is OK as long as the brick can cover the expansion joints.
(7) Light weight insulation brick should be aligned with manual compression, should not use wooden hammer to hit.No percussion, collision or other vibration can be made to the dried insulated masonry.
(8) The width of brickwork joint of insulation masonry shall be less than 5 mm. The mortar number and mix proportion must meet the design requirements, and the fullness of the brickwork joint of light weight insulation brick shall not be less than 80%.
Above is the introduction of wet building technology of CCEWOOL lightweight insulation brick. Hope this can bring help to furnace builders and workers. Next week we will continue to introduce dry building technology of light weight insulation brick.
