Because this castable is used in the high temperature part of the heating furnace, the operating temperature is about 1350℃, so pure calcium aluminate cement with excellent performance should be selected, and its Al2O3 content should generally be higher than 70%. If the impurity content of the cement is high, the impurity is easy to react with the castable to produce melt at high temperature, which will affect the high-temperature performance of the castable. The amount of added pure calcium aluminate cement is generally controlled at 5% to 10%. If the added amount is too large, the strength of castable at medium temperature will be reduced, and the strength and spalling resistance of the castable at high temperature will be adversely affected.
