Based on chemical structure, mullite insulation bricks have the following six characteristics:
1. Low thermal conductivity, with good thermal insulation performance;
2. Low thermal capacity. Due to low thermal conductivity, mullite series light-weight insulation bricks accumulate very little heat energy, which has obvious energy-saving effects in intermittent operation;
3. Low impurity content. It has a very low iron, alkali and other oxide metal content, which result in high refractoriness; high aluminum content makes it maintain good performance in a reducing atmosphere;
4. High compressive strength under high temperature;
5. Accurate size, speed up the construction speed, reduce required amount of refractory mortar, ensure the strength and stability of the masonry, thereby prolong the life of the lining;
6. It can be processed into special shapes to reduce the number of bricks and joints.
