Application and performance of alumina hollow ball brick

Alumina hollow ball brick is a kind of lightweight refractory material with high temperature resistance and excellent energy saving performance. It is very stable in various atmospheres. Especially used in high temperature kiln of 1800 ℃. Alumina hollow ball brick can be used as high-temperature and ultra-high-temperature insulation fillers, lightweight aggregates for high-temperature refractory concrete, and high-temperature castables. Hollow ball brick can be used for high temperature energy saving (> 30%) down draft kiln, shuttle kiln, tunnel kiln, molybdenum wire furnace, tungsten rod furnace, induction furnace, nitriding furnace, etc.
The performance of alumina hollow ball bricks will have obvious effects on reducing the weight of the furnace body, transforming the structure, saving materials and energy.
1. High working temperature
Its working temperature can be above 1750 degrees and has good thermal stability. Its linear shrinkage is small and has long service life.
2. Optimize the furnace structure and reduce the weight of the furnace body:
Density of heavy weight refractory fire brick is 2.6-3.0 g / cm3, while density of alumina hollow ball brick is only 1.1 ~ 1.5g / cm3. For one cubic meter, using alumina hollow ball bricks can reduce weight by 1.1- 1.9 tons.
3. Save materials
Based on the same operating temperature, if use heavy refractory fire brick it will need a lot more refractory insulation material compared with using alumina hollow ball bricks. If use alumina hollow ball brick, for each cubic meter, 1.1-1.9tons of heavy bricks can be saved. And 80% of refractory insulation material can be saved.
4. Energy saving.
Alumina hollow ball bricks have good thermal insulation performance and low thermal conductivity, which can play a very good thermal insulation effect, reduce heat emission, improve thermal efficiency, and thus save energy. The energy saving efficiency can reach more than 30%.
