Last issue we mainly introduced the ash joint design of the refractory bricks and lightweight insulation bricks of the tunnel kiln wall. This issue we wil mainly introduce the building of insulation brick of tunnel kiln wall and the laying of insulation layer.
1.Building of insulation brick
The height, thickness and total length of the insulation wall shall comply with the provisions of the drawing. The masonry method is the same as that of clay refractory bricks, and is built with refractory mortar. Each layer should be built with bricks of the same size, and the ash seam should be controlled within 3mm. We should make sure that the mortar fullness should be above 90%. It is strictly forbidden to use a iron hammer to knock bricks when laying bricks. Use a rubber hammer or a wooden hammer to gently tap the surface of the brick to correct it. It is strictly forbidden to cut bricks directly with a brick knife. The bricks to be processed should be cut and trimmed by the cutting machine, and the required size is ensured. In order to avoid the direct contact of the insulating brick with the open flame in the kiln, the surrounding of the observation hole should be made of refractory brick, and the lap brick of the thermal insulation wall and the thermal insulation blanket and the outer wall should also be built with clay refractory brick.
2.Laying of insulation layer.
The layer of insulating material filled between the inner wall and the outer wall shall be uniform, full and sealed, and shall prevent water entering. The insulation layer material generally adopts ordinary aluminum silicate fiber needle-punched blanket, and the blanket size must meet the design requirements and the actual needs of convenient installation. During the installation process, it should be noted that two connected blanket must be in close contact and the seam between blanket must be pressed. The blanket joints should be adhered with high-temperature adhesive to make the seal tight and ensure the insulation effect. For the blanket needs to be processed, it should be cut neatly with knife to ensure the size is accurate. It is strictly forbidden to tear the blanket by hand.
