Last issue we mainly introduced mixing and aging mixture in the production process of light floating beads insulation brick. This issue we will continue to introduce the molding and drying in the production process of lightweight floating bead insulation bricks.

Molding
The floating beads are glass-like, the surface is smooth, the material is easy to move during molding, and the required pressure is not too large, and the static pressure of 15~30t is suitable.
Drying
The temperature in the drying room should be appropriate and the temperature field distribution should be uniform. Wall of floating bead is thin, the lower part of floating bead is in a vacuum state, and the heat transfer is slow. In the drying process, if the temperature field in the drying room is very uneven, the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the floating bead wall is large, and the thermal stress is large, which may cause the bead wall to break and affect the insulation performance. Therefore, in the range of 150~400 °C, sudden temperature rise and temperature drop will destroy the appearance of the floating beads. In addition, the suitable drying temperature can also avoid deformation, crack or large linear shrinkage of the product during the drying process.
