Before making alumina hollow ball brick we should make alumina hollow ball first.
2. Production of alumina hollow ball brick.
Alumina hollow ball brick is produced by mixing alumina hollow ball, sintered alumina powder, and binding agent according to a certain proportion. Then mold, dry and sinter to obtain alumina hollow ball brick.
Alumina powder is produced from industrial alumina. After 1500℃ calcination the industrial alumina is fine grinded, acid pickled, dried. Then the alumina powder is obtained. The binder of making the brick is usually aluminium sulphate solution or aluminium dihydrogen phosphate solution. Mix the above materials evenly.Form with vibration forming method. Green brick is dried, then incinated under temperature 1500~1800℃. Then alumina hollow ball brick is obtained. We can also get products without incinaration. Or use the green brick as unshaped refractory material to build furnace linning.
Application
Alumina hollow ball brick has greatly improved the thermal efficiency of kiln furnace, reduce lead time, furnace weight and energy consumption. It can touch fire directly and is suitable for hot blast furnace, heating furnace, tunnel kiln, push plate kiln and various electric furnace, inner working linning of furnace. It is widely used in metallurgy, light industry, chemical industry, ceramics, glass, electronics and other industries. Technical indicators of our alumina hollow ball bricks have reached or exceeded the physical level of similar products at home and abroad.
When alumina hollow ball brick used as inner linning of furnace, when heating the furnace the temperature should not rise too quick, or there will be cracks on furnace wall and reduce the service life of furnace. Because the porosity of alumina hollow ball brick is high, it can not be used in parts that will touch molten slag, or the alumina hollow ball brick will be damaged by permeation of molten slag.
This week we mainly describe the application and production process of alumina hollow ball brick. Hope this can bring help to furnace builders and workers.
