Before making alumina hollow ball brick we should make alumina hollow ball first.
1. Praparation of alumina hollow ball brick.
The alumina hollow ball is made from industrial alumina with electric melting method and blowing method. Electric melting equipment is electric arc furnace. The molten pool is made of graphite or other refractory materials. A spout was built on the edge.Install a compressed air nozzle on the outside of the spout. The nozzle is connected to compressed air equipment with a pipe. The furnace can move. Electrode is made of graphite.
After adding the industrial alumina oxide powder to the molten pool, we can power on and melt. When molten temperature at or above 2200 ℃ the molten will boil. Then pour out the molten liquid. Meanwhile spray the molten liquid with compressed air. In the process of blowing and condensing, due to the viscosity and surface tension of molten fluid, molten fluid forms hollow balls. Then the hollow balls are collected and screened and stored separately according to different granules.
The proportion of alumina hollow ball of different particle sizes varies with the pressure of compressed air. The larger the pressure, the more the ball of small sizes.The thickness of the ball varies with the ball size. When the granularity is within 5 ~ 0.5mm. The thickness is between 0.3-0.1mm. The larger the particle size of the hollow balls, the smaller the natural accumulation density. The smaller the particle size of the hollow balls, the bigger the natural accumulation density.
