Factors Affecting Creep Deformation of Refractory Material 2

There are many factors that affect the high temperature creep of refractories, and many of them are interrelated. The main factors affecting the creep deformation of refractory materials are as follows:
3. Chemical composition
It can be said that the chemical composition of refractories will determine the various properties of refractories. As for creep performance, the creep performance of refractories depends on glass phase, which is mainly low melting material, so the content of impurities should be specially controlled. From the phase composition and phase change of high alumina bricks at different temperatures, we can clearly see the the impact impurities.
In a word, the chemical composition determines the mineral composition of the material, and the structure of the materials composed of various minerals shows unique properties of material. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp the chemical composition that is easy to generate low melting point minerals, especially K2O and Na2O, because K2O and Na2O enter the glass phase, while Fe2O3 and TiO2 will be partially dissolved into the crystalline phase (corundum and mullite), which is less harmful.
Next issue we will continue to introduce factors affecting creep deformation of refractory material. Pls stay tuned!
