According to design, refractory bricks and insulation bricks for hot blast stoves can be selected according to the following schemes.
2.Medium and small blast furnace hot blast stove (diameter <8m, wind temperature 1100~1150℃): kyanite bricks are used for the vault, the middle and upper part of the combustion chamber, the regenerator and the part above the checker brick. Andalusite bricks are used in the lower area of the combustion chamber above the top surface of the burner. Clay bricks are used in low temperature areas (including checker bricks) where the temperature is lower than 1000°C.
4. Ceramic burner: cordierite bricks or andalusite bricks are used for the upper part, and dense clay bricks with low alkali metal content are used for the lower part.
5. The choice of insulation bricks: The type of insulation bricks used in hot blast stoves is determined by the types of refractory bricks built in the working layer. When the working layer is built with silica bricks, light silica bricks should be built on the back of the silica bricks. When the working layer is built with high-alumina refractory bricks, the back of the refractory bricks should be built with light-weight high-alumina bricks. When the working layer is built with clay bricks, the back of the clay bricks should be built with light clay bricks or diatomaceous earth bricks.
