Brief introduction of light weight refractory insulation brick

Lightweight refractory insulation bricks are a new type of refractory materials, and its most important feature is environmental protection and energy saving. In modern industrial kilns, under the premise of meeting application requirement, light-weight refractory materials are gradually replacing original refractory products. Its bulk density, porosity, thermal conductivity, etc. are better than ordinary refractory products. It can better save energy consumption of the kiln, reduce kiln body weight, reduce heat dissipation of the kiln body, and reduce the overall cost of the kiln.
There are many types of lightweight heat-insulating refractory bricks, which can be classified as below:
1. According to the bulk density, it can be classified into sub-lightweight (1.0~1.3g/cm3); light weight (0.4~1.0g/cm3) and ultralight weight (under 0.4g/cm3).
2. According to using temperature it can be classified into low temperature type (less than 900℃), such as diatomaceous earth brick and perlite brick; medium temperature type (1000~1200℃), such as vermiculite, calcium silicate, light clay brick, aluminum silicate fiber ; High-temperature type (>1200℃), such as lightweight high-alumina bricks and alumina hollow ball bricks.
3. According to the appearance, it is classified into fibrous, porous and granular.
4. According to the production method, it is classified into the method of adding combustible material, the method of foam and the method of chemical.
5. According to the texture, it is classified into natural and artificial.
Application of lightweight refractory insulation bricks:
1. Hot surface lining materials of various industrial furnace , such as annealing furnace, carbonization furnace, tempering furnace, oil refining furnace, cracking furnace, roller kiln, tunnel kiln, etc.
2. Backing insulation materials for various industrial furnaces.
3. Reducing atmosphere furnace.
