Last issue we introduced the application of lightweight mullite refractory fire brick. This issue we will continue to introduce the performance of additives in lightweight mullite refractory fire brick and ignition lost material.
1.Performance of additives
This additive is a composite additive composed of a variety of refractory materials, which can promote the progress of the reaction and stabilize the volume of bricks during the forming of mullite bricks and through a series of physical and chemical reaction to generate a mullite phase.
2.Ignition lost material
The ignition lost materials are polystyrene pellets and wood powder. Polystyrene pellets are hydrocarbons. After firing, they can form spherical inner pores with smooth inner spherical surface and strong atmospheric pore walls inside the light mullite bricks. The weakness of the ball is that the spheres in the mud are easy to agglomerate and cannot form a stretch, which is not conducive to the improvement of the strength of the green brick body. The allowable addition of polystyrene pellets is small in order to effectively reduce the density of light mullite bricks without reducing the strength of the green brick body.
Next issue we will continue to introduce water reducer in lightweight mullite refractory fire brick production. Please stay tuned.
